The Algiers International Book Fair (SILA 2026) will take place from 28 October to 7 November

The 29th edition of the Algiers International Book Fair (SILA 2026) will take place from 28 October to 7 November 2026 at the Algiers Exhibition Centre (SAFEX).

Regarded as one of the major cultural events dedicated to books in Africa and the Arab world, the SILA brings together publishers, authors, booksellers and industry professionals, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors, every year.

Over the course of eleven days, the fair will feature literary events, talks, book signings, cultural activities and the launch of the latest publications. A true forum for exchange and discovery, SILA helps to promote reading, encourage creative publishing and foster dialogue between the various players in the book industry.
